DINING
Local Favorites Served Up Daily
Enjoy a great meal at one of the
area's locally owned restaurants. Decked salad bars, blooming
onions and great steaks await you at The Patio, cajun
specialties and an array of fun dishes are served up at
CAPER’s, famous barbecue at Bill and Dave’s Smokin’ Pit and
local favorites such as catfish fiddlers, creek fries, extra
thick pork chops and persimmon pudding are sure to please. And
traditional entrees such as juicy steaks, chicken and
succulent seafood are all available to tempt one's palate.
Many fast food outlets can be
found along Highway 66 in Tell City. Classic drive-in food and
ice cream can be enjoyed at Wall’s Drive-In in Cannelton.
Numerous pizzerias, a great Chinese buffet at King Chef,
traditionally classic Mexican food from Fiesta Grande, and
delis are well represented, too. The American Legion and the
Knights of Columbus also offer public dining at their local
facilities in Tell City. The Hoosier Heights Country Club
opens its restaurant to the public for lunch during the week.
Restaurant seating is also available adjoining the delis of
the local Nobles IGA and Buehler’s Buy Low grocery stores.
Whether meeting colleagues for a
business breakfast, taking a shopping break with friends,
enjoying an evening out with the family, or a quiet, intimate
dinner for two, the local restaurants will be happy to serve
you in style and great taste. Live entertainment on the
weekends ensures a packed house at selected local eateries.
Live folk music and instrumentals can be found at CAPER’s
restaurant on the weekends. Fiesta Grande and the Alpine House
offer live rock and country music performers.
